Meet Dr. Maroulis

Dr. John Maroulis has enjoyed living in West Virginia for over 30 years. He graduated Hampshire High School as the Salutatorian, while enjoying record setting track and cross country experiences.

Spurred along by the excellent experiences by author/veterinarian James Herriot, Dr. Maroulis started WVU as an animal and veterinary science major. He was driven to excellence, and received all A's and just one B in pursuit of his undergraduate degree!

Hesitant to change what had been working for him, he entered the WVU School of Dentistry to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Upon receipt of that degree, the real learning started. He has studied under the best practitioners in the world of continuing education. He received advanced training in Cosmetic Dentistry, Orthodontics, Implant Dentistry, and Sedation Dentistry, to name a few. This push for advanced training was done to make him beneficial as possible to members of his patient family, no matter the need!

His major weakness, truth be told, is his love for the outdoors! He will try to sneak away for long weekends, beginning randomly in November, and bow hunt and snow ski as much as allowed by patients and family, until the end of March. But, unfortunately for his hobbies, his getaways are more in his head, than actual time away from patients! But that is consistent with most of our lives, isn't it?
